The Philippines frequently experiences seismic and volcanic
tremors because it lies along the Pacific Ring of Fire. Here in the Philippines
we conduct a lot of earthquake drills, because no one can predict when
earthquakes will happen.

As we live in an area where earthquake are frequent
occurrence, we have to include earthquake preparedness in our overall emergency
plan and implementing earthquake drills is the best approach and all of these
will help us ensure that there will be no confusion or panic among the students
and teachers. Most important of all, everybody must be taught what to do during
and after an earthquake.
While earthquake can never be
predicted, being prepared spells the difference for the safety of ourselves
espescially our teachers and students.
